My Hawaii Adventure

I booked the airfare and vacation rental for my trip to see Dave in Oahu. Dave found me a nice studio a short walk to the beach of Kailua. I didn't want to stay in Waikiki. The town sounds great with shopping and dining and I am really looking forward to seeing where Dave lives, works and plays. I will also get to stay with Brian on the way to and from this trip.

My Hawaii Adventure

I booked my airfare and Dave helped me find a nice studio rental a 5 minute walk to Kailua beach. I am looking forward to staying in the quiet Oahu not in Waikiki. The town of Kailua sounds nice with shops and dining etc. I am anxious to learn the Hawai that Dave knows and will practice my pronunciations. I probably won't even need a rental car.

We had our first really significant snowfall last night and today since 1999. I got up to go to work and we were having thunder snow. It was really interesting to see flashes of lightening and hear thunder with a blizzard going on I couldn't see to the end of the driveway. I was to scared to attempt the drive into work so I am home safe and sound. I feel guilty about that but oh well I need to do what I need to do. I've always had a snow phobia since I first started driving. It's a lot less stressful watching it than driving in it.
