Memorial Weekend at Caroline's

Went to Harrisville Mich for the weekend. Thirty minutes south of Alpena and had a wonderful stay at Aunti C's.. When you walk in the living room the entire wall of windows with nothing in the view but Lake Huron makes you feel like you are in the bow of a ship. We turned off all the lights at night and sat on the balcony looking at the stars and clouds. With no major cities around it was an unobstructed view. No sound but the lapping of the waves. It was incredible.

Gas Companies

It's the Tuesday before Memorial day and the gas stations hiked the price of gas 11 cents a gallon to 3.45/gal. I am so glad I live in a small home and only average a tank and a half of gas a month. I know a lot of people who are hurting right now but as Brian says until it reaches 5/gal people will probably not change. I have seen a lot of boats up for sale but I think that is mostly due to the high unemployment in Mich not just gas prices. Mich unemployment is over 7.5 percent with the national average being 4.2 I am grateful I live close to work and am a nurse.

Florida trip

Florida vaca was great. The sun/beach/swimming really do it for me. Looked at some places while I was there, that really makes me itchy to go. Here is GPa getting a pedicure and keeping himself up at night. He still has a great sense of humor
